Slogging through Nagrand
Wednesday off.. looked like a good day for leveling.. then Fiancee suggested we host a barbeque. Leveling went out the window. Steak and Corn on the Cob (yum).
I did get a little bit of game time in before the barbeque.
Learnings:
- Even though I’ve chosen Scryer, the initial quest has only flipped me to “unfriendly” with Aldor (neutral with Scryer) so I can still use the back door as an easy entrance into Nagrand.
- “Bring me the egg!”
- Stand in the middle of the trampoline.
- Carefully face your toon towards the nest and line it up exactly.
- Move the camera so you’re looking straight down on your toon (make sure you don’t change which way you’re facing).
- Use the cog to trigger the trampoline.
- When you see that you are directly over the nest, click off the buff(right-click) that makes you float slowly and fall into the nest.
I saw a mage who clicked off the buff and then used featherfall to hit the nest. Clever.. if you have skills like that.

Land on nest, loot egg. Mama bird is coming.. she’s a 66 Elite. I couldn’t kill her solo but if you ask on general there seems to be quite a few people LFG for this quest.
- I also could not solo Bach’lor. I assumed that if you attacked him directly it would aggro all of his herd so I never attacked him directly. You -can- pick off his herd as they run around without aggroing him. That said, when you throw your shield at the last two and it also hits him.. 2 regular + 1 elite is too much to solo.
- Mages have mad dps. Grouping up with one is terribly useful when killing Elementals for the muck core.
- I <3 Warrior Ogres. Fast hitting, dual-wielding ogres almost bring a tear to my eye. I was done with killing warriors -way- before I was done with mages. Then I would aggro a warrior and drag him over to kill the mage.
FuBar says I’m about 1.5 hours from leveling. Hoping to get that tonight.

With Bach’lor his adds will not join him in the fight, unless you hit them with an AoE or the like. He still hits like a truck though.
When we did the egg quest at 70, spent about a half hour jumping on the tramp with some friends watching us. After I finally got it they asked why we didn’t use our flying mounts. DOH
