As I said yesterday.. I made 66 on Tatia. It’s hard to get excited to play a toon when you know you’re going to be soloing.. and that you probably won’t get a level. FuBar says it’ll take ~12.5 hours to go to 67 *sigh* That’s about 3-4 days of play. So instead of starting on that trudge, I decided to maximize my rested XP and play an alt instead.
(According to the math I guess I should just muscle through and play Tatia. A day of rest means that I “accumulate” 1/6 of a level’s worth or rest xp. A day of play means that I accumulate ~1/4 of a level (since I normally play about 3 hours). So the better bet is to play.. whatever.. I alt-ed)
Yesterday was Ette’s day.

Patch came.. notes were made. See them here:
http://worldofwarcraft.com/patchnotes/
Sometimes the not-noted changes are most interesting. Take this one for example:
From http://blue.cardplace.com/newcache/us/174502532.htm
…
Just like in-game mail transactions containing items, mail sent with gold, silver, and copper coins attached will in most cases now take one hour to reach the recipient. This change will help us to better ensure the legitimacy of such transactions and further prevent the unlawful influx of currency into each realm’s economy. Keep in mind that this delay will only affect the following mail transactions containing coins:
Regular mail with coins attached.
CoD payments received via the mail system.
Note: This will NOT affect mail sent from one character to another when under the same account.
Hidden in the PC jargon.. I think it reads like this:
If Tatia sends Ette gold it’s instant
If Tatia sends Zynnia gold.. 1 hr
Also extrapolating from further down in the thread:
If Tatia send Ette “Fantastic Hood of Uberness” instantaneous
If Tatia send Zynia “Fantastic Hood of Uberness” 1 hr
Rawr!

Completed all of the initial quests for the Consortium. As I was sitting in the Consortium courtyard, reviewing my questlog, I realized that I still needed to run Blood Furnace. Luckily there was a group LF tank. So for the first time in a long while, I got to tank for a PUG. We were Tatia (me 65 Pally Tank), Leonitus (62 Warlock), Nadeshiko (63 Priest), Elronkyusu (64 Hunter), Javg (64 Hunter).
It was a good group in that we completed the instance.. and only wiped once (on the big eyeball)(srsly, how do you do a long extended fight like that with no mana break?).
It sucked in that -I- out DPSd both the priest (expected) and Javg, one of the hunters (!?!). HTF am -I- Tatia the Tank supposed to out DPS a freaking hunter. BigRedKitty should take away his hunter card. ALSO, although Elronkyusu out DPSd me.. he was an idiot. He rushed pulls and made me chase critters all over the place.. at one point he declared that if his kitty died one more time he wasn’t going to Rez it anymore(WTF?). When we finally ran back to kill the big eyeball he ran into the room and shot it just as I sat down to drink from buffing everyone. The door slammed shut and he and the other hunter and the warlock had to kill it on their own (they’d locked the priest out in the hall with me). Seriously, “Huntard” was a term invented just for him.
All said and done, the Warlock and the Priest both told me I was a good tank. Yeah me!
After the instance I turned in quests and then finally dinged 66 while killing spiders. YEAH! Four more to go.

On Friday the Horde took over control of Haala. I’m fairly clueless about PVP … and asside from noticing that the Haala seller will sell you a Talbuk mount, I’ve pretty much ignored it.
While questing in Nagrand with Fiancee and “Lazy Slacker” I said that I was all done with all of the quests except for the Consortium quests (which I hadn’t yet picked up). Fiancee said “Hey, all the horde guards at Haala are dead.. You’re not flagged, you should be able to run right through there to get to the Consortium”.

Wednesday off.. looked like a good day for leveling.. then Fiancee suggested we host a barbeque. Leveling went out the window. Steak and Corn on the Cob (yum).
I did get a little bit of game time in before the barbeque.

Level 64 gave Tatia “Seal of Vengeance”. Experimentation shows that it’s a whole new critter in the seals.
Tatia puts up Seal of Vengeance.
Tatia starts hitting baddie.
Baddie gets a debuff (can’t remember the name at the moment) that causes 120 damage over 12 seconds (in 3 second chunks ie, 30 damage every 3 seconds). The debuff stacks up to 5 times (so then it’s 150 damage every 3 seconds).
If you Judge Seal of Vengeance it hits the baddie for 120 x number of debuffs (ie a max of 600 damage). Judgeing Vengeance does not make the stack go away.
The debuff can exist side-by-side with a judged seal. So you can have Judgment of Wisdom on the baddie and a stack of Vengeance debuffs.
This still requires more thinking.

The apology:
I ended up staying later at work than intended. Someone caused the database to blow up and I had to un-blow-it-up. (a little sad when little ol’ me is the critical linch-pin in fixing the mission critical database for a multi-million dollar company) (just sayin’)
When I finally got on West kingdom was running through Nagrand quests. Since I’m now Scryer I could not use the ever-so-convenient backdoor from the Aldor tier to Nagrand. No one bothered mentioning the easy path from Zangarmarsh to Nagrand so I instead ran through Terorkar Forest. It wasn’t too difficult… just long.
Guildie has suggested that I skip Terorkar and jump right into Nagrand. According to him there’s some kind of rep that it’s better to get by running instances.. and -then- do Terorkar quests.. must do more research on this.

Why do so many WoW Blog posts start with an apology? “I was busy so didn’t log in until late”, “We went out to a movie so didn’t play all weekend”, “My dog ate my mousepad”.
