Is it “North-rend” two syllables or “North-er-end” three?
I’m going with three. I just can’t make “North-rend” work. The stop is too hard between “North” and “rend”. Adding a third syllable softens the stop and flows better off my tongue.

I’ve always gone with the two-syllable ‘North-rend’; I believe that’s how it’s pronounced in WCIII. Actually, I say it a little closer to ‘Nor-thrend’.
Yeah, Joyd has it right. It’s two syllables. Go play WC3 to find out. It’s a fun game, plus you get some very nice story background.
