Yes! I finally dinged 69 last night on our second run through Underbog. It wasn’t my original intention to make my last ~3-4 levels in instances.. it’s just working out that way.
Early in the night fiancee asked the guild if they had any plans for the night. I piped up and said that I needed to run Steamvaults**.. but I wasn’t sure if I was high enough level.. and I needed to do Underbog to clear two quests out of my log. A couple other people said they needed Steamvaults.. but were willing to help with Underbog first.
One of my biggest fears with being Holy is the oft-repeated wail from Healadins (which I am NOT. DON’T CALL ME THAT!) that they can’t solo.
The first build I did was a Holy/Prot spec(respec in haste regret in leisure). Honestly the last 20 points in Prot were just thrown there with very little thought.. and with only 20 points I couldn’t get down to any of the really juicy talents.. so it seemed a waste.
After noodling this for a while I decided to go Holy/Ret. I know Ret is the most reviled tree.. but supposedly it has some DPS potential (more coming in the future if you believe the news out of BlizzCon). I’ve ended up with this spec 42/0/17. I think I’ll actually end up at 44/0/17 and pick up Purifying Power since I’m finding that I do a lot of cleansing in instances.
I’m not thrilled with the DPS/solo synergy but it has potential. I also bought a big beefy two-handed hammer to swing off AH. [The Oathkeeper] was 32g. I’m hoping it was gold well spent.
I add alot of blogs to my blogroll. In most cases it because a internet accessible list is easier than a bookmark list. In some cases I add them because they speak to me.

West Kingdom guild night. No set plan (the events coordinator (that’s me) went on vacation and forgot to plan anything (oops)). It all worked out though.
Shoktul logged on and of all the guildies on, he hadn’t completed Old Hillsbrad. After a little bickering (No, I wanna be the DPS) we settled on a group. We were Tatia (68 Holy Pally Healer(me)), Gongniu (70 Warrior Tank), Shoktul (70 Moonkin), Raoen (70 Hunter), and Krullwyn (70 Hunter). We blazed through there like mad. We had one unfortunate incidence where an AoE (not mine) broke two hunter traps.. but other than that, it was all good. Buildings burned, Thrall freed, Dragon slain.
It’s a little known fact, but I work for a big dotcom that has, as part of its portfolio, a Gaming site.
Someone just came to me because we experienced an “unexpected big spike of traffic” over the last few days from some videos from some “Blizzcon” event that were messing with our delivery algorithms.

In Instances:
+int +spelldamage +crit gear/enchantments
Devotion Aura (or spell specific aura as needed)
Holy Light/Flash of Light/Holy Shock healing
For long fights:
Seal of Light/Judgment to get Judgment of Light on mob
Seal of Wisdom (so I can get add’l mana)
Solo:
+int +spelldamage +crit gear/enchantments
AOE poisoning shield with shield spike (maybe with Darkmoon Fury Deck Trinket eventually)
Retribution Aura
Seal of the Crusader/Judgment to get Judgment of Crusader on Mob (or Seal of Light/Judgment of Light need to try it out)
Seal of Righteousness/Judgment or Seal of Vengeance(on very long fights) for busty holy damage.
Occasional Holy Shock/Consecrate
Occasional Heals to myself
Is it “North-rend” two syllables or “North-er-end” three?
I’m going with three. I just can’t make “North-rend” work. The stop is too hard between “North” and “rend”. Adding a third syllable softens the stop and flows better off my tongue.
I really should start off describing Bawk Bawk on Friday (in fact, I should actually have written that on Friday.. but oh well). Instead I’m going to admit my shame.. face it and move on.
I’ve respecced Holy. Yes. There, I’ve admitted it. I’m a priest in plate. My DPS is now officially 0 and my mana pool is huge.

Q: Warriors used to be the only viable tank. Now bears are even with warriors, sometimes better. Now pallies not so much. Will they be equal?
A: AoE tanking is now very good for prot pallies. But there will be improvement on protection tree such as comparable number of hitpoints as warriors and bears.
