@samownall
I'm not sure I understand. Since this is an idealized situation AFAICT it's the max DPS you can squeeze out of these seals. You're limited by cooldowns and swing timers. I don't see how playstyle would come into it.

@Kaziel
The comparison here is an idealized situation. It assumes a 3.0 swing for SoV to keep it up.

You would see a difference in DPS just because of the weapon dps.. but the above graphs don't take that into consideration. These compare only the raw DPS generated by the Seal/Judge combination.

The biggest problem with this is trying to realistically compare 1H damage. SoV, unless the weapon is 3.0 speed or slower, could very well end up falling off. Between resists, missed and the PPM limitation, eventually the debuff from SoV will fall off, which is a big damage drop, since your Judgements lose potency as well as your normal DPS..

If you're using 2H, it's most likely slower than 3.0 which means as long as you connect and the spell doesn't get resisted you'll be fine (the debuff will still fall off but only once in a blue moon with that situation). In that scenario, on a medium or long fight you're best off going with SoV since it will rarely fall off.

Graphs are all very well but more often than not your playstyle will affect the damage of either.

Yeah.. sorry about that. I accidentally hit "publish" on this earlier this morning before I was actually done. Graphs and commentary updated to include +spell and talents.

Are you counting spell damage?

In my experience SoR/JoR gets a bigger boost from spell damage than SoV/JoV. So if you have a decent amount of spell damage SoV is not very good. Not to mention that SoV keeps falling off whenever I try to use it.
