Are warlocks naturally evil? Is it just the nature of the class?
Last night on venti we got to talking about Warlocks… one person brought up the fact that in another game (I think Everquest) you didn’t want to play a warlock because sometimes the vendors wouldn’t deal with you.. because you were evil. She argued that there’s no such penalty in Warcraft.. no matter your class, the vendors will still talk with you. I countered that the example was flawed.. because warlocks aren’t evil.

Actually WowInsider threw out the challenge.. but I’m extending it personally to you.
Challenge 1: How far can you get in 20 minutes? Any class, any race. How far can you get in 20 minutes? Screenshots showing /played should be posted on the WowInsider article.
Challenge 2: How fast to 10? Any class, any race. How fast can you get to 10? Screenshots need to be posted.. Webshots or TinyPic if you don’t have upload ability. Describe, what did you find the hardest about leveling?

Way back on my first character (who was -not- Tatia) I quested in Elwynn forest and eventually moved into Westfall. I read all of the quest text and paid attention to the story. At some point I got a quest sending me to Westfall.. and I remember reading about some NPC commenting how Westfall is overrun with Defias because everyone else has gone off to the war. At the time I wondered what level I’d have to be to catch up to the war front.
I kept thinking, maybe it’s in the next zone.. maybe suddenly I’ll stumble across the warfront.. Horde NPCs facing off with Alliance NPCs.. a huge battle.
I’ve never found the front.. in fact at this point I’m pretty sure it doesn’t exist. It’s just an unsatisfying answer.

Patch 2.3 came out. Suddenly I’ve got all this lovely spell damage on my healing gear. Without swapping clothes or weapons Tatia had more spell damage in her healing set than she did in her +spell set. It was glorious. I mulled it over for a few days and then went to the bank.. and banked my spell set and withdrew my tanking set. And I left it at that.

Him: [Whispers] That’s a Pally enchant.
Me: [Whispers] Warriors can use it too.
Him: [Whispers] Ya but pallys need it so it’s a pally chant
Me: [Whispers] Warriors can use it too.
Him:[Whispers] They have Shield Wall so they don’t really need the block.. Pallys need the block.
Me: [Whispers] Although it’s true that Warriors see more benefit to their blocking from Shield Wall than Pallys do from Holy Shield. The 2% added block will benefit either when Shield Wall or Holy Shield are down.
Him: [Whispers] I’m just saying that it’s a Pally Enchant.
Me: [Whispers] Look, I don’t care who gets the enchant I’m simply trying to skill my enchanting with a rare world-drop enchant that I know. I’ll enchant a Shaman’s shield if he really wants.. Don’t care.
Him: [Whispers] No need to get huffy. I’m just saying.
Me: [2. Trade] Enchanter LFW. Tanks: [Formula: Enchant Shield - Shield Block] that’s 2% more block.
No idea why this guy felt the need to argue with me about the enchant. Just frustrating.

Tatia is 70. She’s hearthed on the Scryer tier. She hangs out in Shattrath and cycles through Hellfire Citadel, Coilfang Reservoir, Auchendoun, and Tempest Keep. Occasionally she travels back to Azeroth and makes a bee-line for either the Caverns of Time or Medivh’s Tower (Kara).
Tatia has no reason to visit Westfall. She was there briefly in her younger days.. but since about level 28 has had no reason to go back. She never visited Azshara. A couple of loops through the Plaguelands saw her to 58 and into the Outlands so there was never a reason to go to Azshara.

Maybe it’s because we’re casual.. but on Monday we spent a really long time talking about who should be in which group with whom for the Kara run.
It start off so innocently. Grimr decided to play Floki his Dwarf Rogue instead of Sibiy his Draenei Hunter. This meant that the other group had no melee Draenei for the 1% to hit bonus. Fiancee said he’d like to be in the group with Tatia (Draenei Pally) to get the 1% back (which now that I think of it is very weird since he’s maxed out his +hit).
So we looked at re-arranging the groups. I kid you not… we spent 10 minutes arguing about this.. before some of us just gave up and went with what we had. Even though I don’t think it was setup in the best way.

I have to say I’m loving the bulk mailing that was added with patch 2.3. Not so much the bulk part of it (I had that by using CTmail) but the part where it bundles the items up into a single package… AND you can label the package.

BigRedKitty is an evil Bastard! and I don’t mean it in a nice way. (yes, BRK I see you clicking back on the Technorati links.. don’t think that I don’t see you!)
Everytime I’m grouped with .. well with a Huntard.. I gently nudge them to goto BigRedKitty, drink the coolaid, learn from the master.. become less of a dead-weight on my game. Everytime!
Huntards with a slight clue look to BRK for guidance. All the other classes breathed a sigh of relief. At last.. someone with the knowledge and the skill had taken all huntards to-hand and was showing them the light.. helping them to better themselves.. and to be better partners in instances. It was lovely.. Oh Oh Oh! and then there was movies! There was the sound of rejoicing.
THEN! He was an EVIL BASTARD!
