One Trick Pony

BRK has movies about Hunter tricks. Chain tapping, misdirect pull, misdirect pull coupled with an ice trap.. kiting. I think they’re terribly cool. The first time I saw them I thought “wow.. I should so make movies with Tatia showing cool Paladin tricks.”

Then I thought about it for a while. Then I thought about it some more.. and now that I’ve thought about it.. I realize I don’t have any cool tricks. I mean I could fraps healing with Grid + Clique.. but that’s not terribly impressive.

Solo questing is mostly about watching cooldowns.

I got no tricks. *le sigh*

I think I’ll have to play Ette and fear juggle.. or banish/seduce while fear juggling.. and CoEx kiting.

Is it only hunters and warlocks who get the cool tricks.. or is it just pallies who get no tricks?

  • Do Shattered Halls as MH. Let the MT tank one while you tank 3 or 4 of the others while healing everyone. Use pally taunt to grab anything that gets loose and attacks dps. The MT can peel them off of you one-by-one for killing, or at least he can try. That’s what I like to do when I want to feel like I’m good. :-)

This may be somewhat less advisable if your healing gear is not from the arena.

Tank pulls two mobs, I heal tank, one of the mobs peels off and heads towards me. Hit tab (since the inbound is the nearest mob), HoJ, run to other side of tank from mob. I don’t know if this counts as a trick or just good heads up play, but my tanks appreciate getting that 6 seconds to pick up their stays.

My mages think BoP + mage Aoe is a good trick.
