I’ve decided I officially hate Stockades. It’s not terribly hard.. but the ceilings are very low.. and there are line of sight issues.. and well frankly I kinda suck as a hunter.
I want to not suck. I conceive of how to not suck.. but I suck at the execution of not sucking.
Fiancee as bear tank marks my mob with blue square. I lay my trap outside the door off to one side. Fiancee runs into room. I hold down CTRL+4 to shoot the mob once.
/cast [target=focus] Distracting Shot
Sets my mob as my focus. Shoots them with Distracting Shot.. but turns off auto-shoot. Mob obediently runs to me and into ice trap.
At this point I run into the room and lay a trap.. only I’m too close to the kill mob or sheep and my trap triggers early.
It didn’t help that we’d picked up another PUG hunter who sucked more than I did.
On our first pull I laid down an ice trap at the door.. he laid down on the opposite side(but he had no mark.. so he was just backup). I shot my mob.. dragged them into my ice trap.. which almost immediately broke. I was like WTF. So I targeted the mob again.. and noticed he’s kind of burning. Turns out the other hunter had laid an immolation trap right next to my ice trap. Yeah, he was precious. Melee hunter.. who didn’t bring food for his pet.. and would lay ice trap on the mob we were currently focus firing.. and immolation trap on mobs that were supposed to be CCd. Then he turned on in-game chat.. and didn’t use push-to-talk.. so we got to hear him (almost constantly) yelling at his younger family members.
After Stockades I just logged off and took a nap. I felt much better after the nap.
