West Kingdom did not have a guild bank before 2.3. If you wanted something and you knew someone else had it, you negotiated with them directly or set up an exchange in advance.
When I needed to make the highest level enchanting rod I borrowed 1 Primal might and 7 Greater Planar Essences from another player. I have a note about it on my board.. and as soon as I have it.. I’ll pay him back. But this wasn’t a guild transaction so much as a transaction between guildies. When I get gems at the beginning of each month I send them to a specific toon.. then when I need gems, rings or necklaces I ask him what he can do for me. Fiancee sends me his worthless green items for disenchanting. When he needs the enchants, if I have the mats, they’re free to him (if I don’t have the mats he usually buys the mats).
Now we have a bank and I’m puzzled how to use it. Technically I understand how it works.. but we haven’t really established the business rules.
Fiancee asked for initial donations to the guild bank.. but only from those people who have enough funds to afford the donation. He’s allowing people to pay for their repairs from guild funds.. but there isn’t a built in, re-occurring money maker for the guild.. so eventually the original bank contributions are going to be gone. People have put items in the bank. Everything from ore and gems to primals and motes. The standing rule is “pay 1/2 of AH price for the items you withdraw from the bank” or “put in equivalent to what you take out” but there’s no standing suggestion about what or when to contribute. I guess I’m just puzzled.
How have others handled this? What do you do for your guild bank?

The holiday is a blur. I remember food, leveling, more food, leftovers, lowbies.. and pie. MMM pie. I leveled 3 new toons and deleted two toons (an old toon and one of the newly leveled toons). WTB more toon slots.

So.. Um.. Hi. It has come to my attention that people read this thing 
A few days ago Fiancee (who is also head of our Alliance side guild) turns to me and said “Babe, you’ve got to deal with this.” He then declared to the guild (on ventrillo) that I’d created a “situation” with my blog.
Situation? Yes. That was the word he used. It seems that there are people is at least one person reading my blog who think that West Kingdom (as a guild) sounds like a pretty nifty place. So they sent an in-game-mail to Fiancee (the GM of WK guild) saying that they read my blog.. and they’re thinking of transferring servers and they’d really like to be part of our guild.
Our guild.. West Kingdom? We can barely field a single Kara group.. and have only recently made it off the first floor of Kara… Are you sure you’re sending email to the guild master of the right blog?

I started out wanting to discuss just Ratings Buster.. but I see from my screenshot, you’re actually getting a five-for-one-here. The screenshot is showing Equipcompare (the tooltips side-by-side), TankPoints (comparing this item to the worn item in terms of tanking), HealPoints (compare this item to the worn item in terms of healing), AuctioneerAdvanced (the vendor prices) AND Ratings Buster.
Equipcompare falls into my Tier one addons (critical, existence is painful without this). Everything else is Tier 2 (this makes my life easier .. alot).

Got home late last night.. and figured I’d knock off the very last Ashenvale quest in Entropy’s questlog. There’s something satisfying about clearing out the log for an area.
I’ve had the quest for a while.. and in fact I’d tried it when I was level ~29. The quest was “Never Again!“. Essentially someone at Splintertree post wants you to go into the demon infested area to kill two named mobs.

It is absolutely ludicrously unfair that you have to be a Troll level 70 with a specific head-gear in order to tame this wolf. No fair. Nocc -needs- a light blue semi-transparent wolf! It’s just evil!

I blog therefore I watch my incoming links (yes, it’s kind of an addiction). I -love- it when I see that guilds have linked to me (Hi Latrodectus, Zero Tolerance, and Drunken Alliance (to name a few)) but I’m vexed when I click back to see what they said.. and get a “Log In” screen.
No fair! *harumph*

I grew up watching both Mr. T and William Shatner. Frankly I like the Shatner commercial best. A friend at work reported that she was in tears after watching both of these commercials.

The site also says a movie is coming soon featuring Verne Troyer. I had to google the name to figure out who that was. It’s MiniMe. Is it aweful of me that I wonder if he plays a gnome?
