Guild First: Maiden of Virtue

We were: Gongniu (Warrior MT), Amellea (Druid OT), Tatia (Paladin MH), Zynnia (Priest OTH), Ireena (Shadow Priest), Fynriss (BM Hunter), Sibiy (BM Hunter), Krullwyn (BM Hunter), Raouen (MM Hunter), and Daegothh (Mage). We made quick work of the Maiden. I think it just took us a couple of attempts to figure out what she was doing. Unfortunately she dropped clothie DPS armor and a shaman totem.

Hunter Healer

New Draenei hunter is now named “Nocc”. I wanted “Nock” (the split on the back of an arrow that keeps it on the bowstring) but that wasn’t available. Friday I was sick. Hacky cough, sore throat, no going to work. I spent the day drinking tea with a blanket across my knees.. gnoshing on pot pie while playing with my new addon (Tourguide) and leveling Nocc. My NE hunter was level 21. I didn’t feel comfortable deleting the Night Elf until I had an equivalently leveled hunter. I figured this would take a few weeks. HAH!

Fiancee has fridays off.. so he decided to start a new alt with me. He started a druid and we began leveling up together. We made 10 on Friday, 19 on Saturday and 22 on Sunday. We also did Deadmines twice on Sunday. Yes, we did nothing but play all weekend. Well, honestly I also did two loads of laundry. Oh.. and drove across town on Sunday to break into a friend’s van.

Where I prove I’m a grrl

It’s stupid.. I know it’s stupid but I can’t help myself.

I have a female dwarf hunter. I don’t love the female dwarf hunter.
I have a female night elf hunter. I like the night elf hunter.. but I’d rather have a Draenei hunter. +1% to hit.. they look prettier.. and I’m -so- over the dark blue Night Elf braid.. and it’s almost embarassing to be yet another night elf hunter.

So last night I DELETED the female dwarf hunter (she was all of level 6 so it didn’t hurt or anything) and immediately make a Draenei hunter. I spent quite a while flipping her looks around.. and then I got stuck on picking a name. Finally I tried “Lilac”. It’s a really pretty name. I thought it was already taken on our server so I didn’t expect it to go through. It went through.

So now I have a newbie Draenei Hunter with the name “Lilac”.

The time in between

In combat:

GO:
Seal of Whatever (probably Righteous if the mob’s going to die quickly)
Judgement (starts 8 second cool down)
Holy Shock (starts 15 second cool down)
Seal of Righteousness.
If it’s a demon, Exorcism (starts 15 second cool down)
***Wait 6 seconds
Judgement (starts 8 second cool down)
Seal of Righteousness.
***Wait 8 seconds
Repeat from GO:

I’m looking at the wait time.. there’s 6 seconds.. [...]

Addon: Jim’s Cooldown Pulse

On Mynt’s suggestion I went ahead and downloaded/installed Jim’s Cooldown Pulse.

When an ability’s cooldown ends, Jim’s Cooldown Pulse shows the icon for that ability at a position/size on the screen that you’ve specified. It also plays a heartbeat sound to draw your attention. This allows you to keep your eyes in the center of the screen instead of staring at buttons and their cooldowns.

One Trick Pony

BRK has movies about Hunter tricks. Chain tapping, misdirect pull, misdirect pull coupled with an ice trap.. kiting. I think they’re terribly cool. The first time I saw them I thought “wow.. I should so make movies with Tatia showing cool Paladin tricks.”

Then I thought about it for a while. Then I [...]

Guild of One

My recruiting has had good results. One of two friends has bought the game and started her account. Yesterday she played a new mage up to level 10. When I logged on I joined her with Obliette, my 20 druid.

It’s weird going back to playing a druid after not for so long. Pretty much I played Obliette up to 20 to get cat form.. and then wandered off to play other toons without really testing out kitty form. I’d complained that leveling a druid was painful. Well it’s confirmed, with kitty form it’s way less painful. It put alot of “Rawr!” into the game. Rxni, the new mage, and I played for about two hours.

Guild First: Moroes

Last night was a West Kingdom first. For the first time we killed Moroes.

We were: Gongniu (Warrior MT), Amellea (Druid OT), Zynnia (Priest MH), Tatia (Holy Pally OTH), Ireena (Priest OH), Daegothh (Mage), Sibiy (BM Hunter), Fynriss (BM Hunter), Krullwyn (BM Hunter), Raouen (MM Hunter). Yes, you read that right, we had 4 hunters and a mage for DPS.
