I added links to my favorite podcasts. I highly recommend them. If you only have a few moments, “Casually Hardcore” is, hands-down my favorite. Well, that’s not entirely true. WowCast is my favorite.. but she updates very very infrequently. Anyway, they’re interesting and also help me to come up with blog topics. If you have any free time (ie, commute) I recommend listening to a few.
Yesterday fiancee woke me up from a nap and asked if I wanted to go into Kara. Buh-duh. Of course I want to go into Kara. We then spent another 30-40 minutes calling guildies to get a group together to go in.
We were: Heimdal (Protection Paladin), Booie(Protection Warrior)/Ireena(Holy Priest), Khoss (Resto Shaman), Zynnia (Holy Priest), Lilac (ME) (Affliction Warlock), Drakus (Rogue), Floki (Rogue), Azaria (Melee Shaman)/Spiralla (Caster Shaman), Magicweaver (Destruction Warlock), Nightmage (Mage). For our attempts on Nightbane MagicWeaver and NightMage switched out for Sae (BM Hunter) and Ginomi (Resto Druid).
Lilac rocked the DPS. Aside from firming up muscle memory I’m not sure that I’ve changed anything else. It wasn’t until Shade of Aran that I realized I was wearing my trash clothes instead of my clothes with 202 spell hit. So for the first part of the run I was at ~10% miss on the bosses. *sigh* Cast sequence**

Me: Geez, you talk mean to me. I am not daffy. Sheesh. Heimdall is tanking. We’re doing dailies. I don’t really need additional hit points, I’d rather have the added DPS.
Friday morning I was listening to an old episode of WowInsider. 31, 32? I don’t know (I usually listen to WIpodcast while I’m fishing.. and I haven’t gone fishing lately.. so I’m a few episodes behind). Anyway on that episode they were talking about an interview WI had done with Nihilum. BBBB said he didn’t understand the fascination with Nihilum or any of the other high-end raiding guilds.
I’ve been thinking about the WotLK “same dungeon for 10-man or 25-man” concept. I’m trying to put my finger on why it bugs me. I think I’ve figured it out. Read the rest of this entry »
Thursdays are usually very slow. I log on, check auctions, play a lowbie for a while. At the moment I’m trying to get Darnassus faction on my level 41 Draenei hunter so she can get a kitty mount. I’m about 3k short. Generally a nice quiet evening.
Last night one of our guildies got a whisper from Joe, the Guild Leader for Shadow Warlords (the guild we’re somewhat aligned with*) asking if we had two strong (non-fire-mage) DPSers he could use for an attempt on Al’ar.
Fiancee was actually in the other room off watching TV at the time. I told him about the request and he logged in. He and Sibiy both volunteered to go. They’re both BM hunters and tend to run 800-900 DPS. They moved over to Shadow Warlord’s ventrilo and I went back to finishing off low-level quest on my hunter for reputation. About 2 minutes later Fiancee told me to log on Lilac and they’d summon me.

HI all,
I’m looking for an addon that will make a noise for me when something special happens in my combat log.
Specifically, when fiancee pulls with Avenger’s Shield I want to have a warning noise go off when the shield misses.
“Heimdal’s Avenger’s Shield misses {mobname}”
Why is Priest-Mage-Rogue -the- 3×3 arena team?
I’m asking as a PVP noob. I could probably work out the list of skills those classes have.. but I’m pretty sure I can’t work out how they synergize. So I’m hoping those of you who actually know what you’re doing can explain it to me.
While running Heroic Blood Furnace on Sunday, during the “gates open and 3-4 mobs clobber the group” part of the instance run (just before the beholder boss). Lilac saved the day 
Just after one of the bigger groups came out of their room fiancee, on his Pally tank, got stunned with Holy Shield down. He was taking a HUGE beating and it didn’t look like our Pally Healer was going to be able to get a Holy Light off in time. Thinking quickly I ran forward and hit “Howl of Terror” and feared off all the mobs. Afterwards the healing pally said there was an 80% chance I saved the group from a wipe by giving him time to get his heal off. Honestly I think he was just being grumpy. I think there’s 100% chance I saved us from a wipe.
This makes me glad I didn’t move those two point out of the talents to make Howl of Terror instant.
