Make a macro:
/target Wild Turkey
/cast corruption
/cast corruption
Put this on a keybound button.
Mount up, run along the edges of the water ways (avoid the murlocks.. as a guildie mentioned.. obviously murlocs eat turkeys because no turkeys spawned near the murloc village) and slightly off the road. Anyway.. Run.. spam the macro. When you target a turkey run towards it and continue to spam the macro. When you get close enough the /cast corruption will dismount you. When the turkey runs towards you, stab him with your steely knife. Loot turkey.
At ~midnight PST I got Turkinator after killing 43 turkeys. Any easier and they’d've just jumped into my bags.

Closest so far is 36. I have over 100 turkey kills. There should be an achievement for amount of turkeys killed, without a time limit

Hmm, corruption.. Destro specc’d so I was using Immolate since I had the destructive reach add-on. But if I were to mount up, hmmm corruption for the instant-cast.

Yup, it was important that it be instant not that it do massive damage. Srsly, I killed almost all of them with my widdle knife. The corruption was just to tag them and get them to run to me.

I added the last line.. the middle line will give the turkey a raid marker making them easier to spot
If you want to mount up, Immolate is better than Corruption because Corruption kills the turkey after 3 seconds (first tick) which means you stay in combat for at least 3 seconds and cannot mount up.
Then, for me the key was to kill the turkeys slow. Never kill one with more than 15 seconds left on your buff. Otherwise you kill them faster then they respawn.

Immolate has a cast time. Corruption is instant.
Really, I don’t think I ever let corruption tick. It was just there to aggro the turkey. When I did the achievement on Lilac I had no competition so the respawn time wasn’t an issue.
Great post! I ended up with 145 turkeys in my bag by the time I got the achievement. The biggest problem for me was competition. Also on our server (Draka) Tirisfal Glade has far less competition than Elwynn Forest so it might be worth checking the opposite zone if you are suffering from too much competition.
