I’m making slow progress through Deepholm. It’s not a -bad- zone.. I’m just not captured by the story.. and it’s dark and cave-like without much mob variety.. Honestly I can’t wait to move on to the next zone. I think I’m nearing the end though (thank God), 103/125.
As an aside.. there are now 4 “Nibuca’s” on the armory. Only two of them are me. IMPOSTERS!
I imagine the return of the felhound might be due to the level 85 skill Demon Soul; the puppy gives a sizable bonus to periodic shadow damage, once again securing its spot as the affliction pet of choice.

That’s correct. Once you get Demon Soul, you should switch to Felhunter and swap out your Glyph of Lash of Pain for Glyph of Corruption. Until then, Succubus + Glyph is better.
Its not a very long zone Deepholm as compared to Vashj’ir. If anything you can get around the zone faster vs being underwater.
I thought that Vashj’ir was beautiful to look at and Deepholm, while dark and gloomy, was quite interesting looking. But after running them back to back Uldum was a breath of fresh air. It was nice to see the sun again.
