It’s official, “I wuz here!” I’m especially please to say that I completed all parts of the quest with a West Kindgom group. So in a way the title is the guild’s too.
We came a long way from barely being able to run a 5-man (when Tatia (my Holy Pally) was one of the only two healers), to completing our first Herioc run, to barely running the first half of Kara, to putting Kara on farm, to running all of our alts through Kara.. to finally deciding to open our doors and recruit more toons into the guild. This is a milestone.
I’m a bit saddened that I won’t be able to do the same thing on Tatia. I still need 3 heroics and a Mags kill on her. But I’m very please that I was able to get it on Lilac, my warlock.
So.. well ok, we’re recruiting. Unfortunately we’re not the only ones. And our recruitment message isn’t all that compelling. I mean we’re not 4/5 BT with promises of grand purplez to bring in the bodies.
We are far far far behind the ball. We’re 4/6 in ZA. Have a guild bank.. forums, ventrilo and tabards. Ugh.

[17:15] Nibuca: evil badge vendor.. and they keep popping up in the most unlikely places…
[17:16] Nibuca: you go to click on the portal for the isle of qq.. and there he is.. just standing there “eeh, you want some epix? First one’s practically free.. c’mon.. try it.. you know you want to”
[17:16] Nibuca: next thing you know you’re pugging kara to get just one more badge so you can get 3 more spell hit..

I haven’t seen it mentioned.. and really it’s a small thing. But the Reputation tab has been changed to use collapsible menus. Very convenient.
Additionally, there’s a Currency tab. Now don’t quote me on this.. but I -think- things like Badges, Spirit Shards, PVP tokens may end up on this tab. Very interesting.

My honey loves me..and does stuff for me 
He graciously volunteered to tank both Heroic Shattered Halls and Heroic Shadow Labs on Friday so that Lilac could be prepared for the Magtheridon attempt scheduled for Saturday. We finished both Heroics easily (many additional thanks to Ireena, Krullwyn, and Fearthewild).
So I heard a while ago that they were modifiying Warlocks so that we would use spirit since it was going to be on the gear we picked up (and shared with every other clothie-caster).
I heard “Lifetap will now scale with spirit instead of Spellpower”. I wasn’t too worried. I did wonder if I would now need to stack spirit in addition to my other stats. But still.. things change.
I did think that when they said “scales with sprit” it would be something like Tap for XXX life and get XXX mana + YYY additional mana based on your spirit. I thought that sounded yummy. I was wrong.

Six months from now.. if you see someone wandering around.. and they’re “Knight So-and-so Champion of the Naaru” that tells you something about them.
They PVPd with some success in vanilla wow and they “beat” at least T4 content in BC.
That says something. It give you a measure of who they are.
I’m not sure that all the new titles that are coming into the game really “say” anything.
None of my toons will ever be “Knight” anything. I started playing post-launch of BC. I guess this somewhat explains why I’m so fixated on getting the “Champion of the Naaru” title on at least one of my toons.
It’s the “I wuz here” of BC.

We only had 21 people on in time for the second try at SSC. Weaver called the raid off. Fiancee formed up a ZA instead. I wasn’t in it. I tried to get a Heroic group together so I could finish off everything for the Champion of the Naaru title (Lilac needs H-Slabs and H-Shattered Halls). Mags is on Saturday. Last night we made a few attempts at Lurker. It was our first time as a guild attempting the boss. The trash went very very well.. in fact someone commented that the SSC trash is easier than the TK trash. The boss.. not so much. We had some positioning problems with the tank. I’m sure we’ll get it worked out shortly.
We had a new recruit with us on the run. Just before the second attempt on the boss he and I exchanged the following whispers:
Me: Heya, just checking that everything’s going ok.
Recruit: Yeah, everything’s ok.. It’s just that this is so much more than I was doing before. I’m just worried that I won’t perform well. I really want to make the grade.
Me: There aren’t grades so much. It’s more like kindergarten. We want to know “does he play well with other”, “does he share his toys”,”does he do what he’s told to do when he’s told to do it”.
Me: It’s more about “doesn’t eat the crayons” than “colors within the lines”
Recruit: Ah, ok. So share my toys, play well with others and don’t eat the crayons. Got it.
Me: Exactly.
