So I heard a while ago that they were modifiying Warlocks so that we would use spirit since it was going to be on the gear we picked up (and shared with every other clothie-caster).
I heard “Lifetap will now scale with spirit instead of Spellpower”. I wasn’t too worried. I did wonder if I would now need to stack spirit in addition to my other stats. But still.. things change.
I did think that when they said “scales with sprit” it would be something like Tap for XXX life and get XXX mana + YYY additional mana based on your spirit. I thought that sounded yummy. I was wrong.
I tested this in the beta.

So, for a lot of boss fights I, Lilac the affliction warlock, end up standing relatively close to the tanks (to make sure they get the imp buff). As a conscientious warlock I strive to be “just a little hurt” so that my mana pool stays up and the incoming health from my Siphon Life isn’t wasted. This means that I’m usually close enough to the tanks that the frisbee that the priests send at the tanks bounces to me.
UNFORTUNATELY, lifetap doesn’t pass the frisbee on. I feel really bad sucking up all the frisbees and not passing them on.

Dots run a long time. Trash dies in a short time. Using dots on trash means they die before the dot has time to go bang. To get more bang for your buck be smart about killing trash and do it different from bosses and grinding.
My question:
Which dots? The answer surprised me.

If you have both instant cast Corruption and Unstable Affliction, and you cast them together, which should you cast first?
Here’s the visual. On top is Unstable Affliction followed by instant cast Corruption. The bottom pair shows instant cast Corruption followed by Unstable Affliction.

Lilac is a mad cackling example of OP-ness! BUT everytime I’d look at maxdps.com for the affliction warlock I’d get depressed. Maxdps.com says I should be kicking around 1k dps.. and instead I’m -sometimes- hitting 750. What gives?
Seriously.. I’ve been in a funk thinking I sucked. Then I started checking their numbers.

So I’ve got this macro problem.. you might call it an addiction.. but that’s only if you look at it from the outside where it looks all obsessive and weird. From the insider (my view) it looks perfectly normal.
Anyway.. Lilac has run out of macro slots. I know, hard to imagine.. but every single slot for a macro for Lilac is totally full. The part that frustrates me.. is that most of her macros follow a template.
I have all these spells.. and I want them to work the same way.. no matter which spell I hit.
