“Faugh! Clothies!”

Monneh skilled tailoring from 17 to 125 last night. Did it in Exodar by running between AH and Tailor trainer. I would have gone further but 1) I ran out of money and 2) I can’t skill past 150 until I reach level 20 and visit a trainer in Stormwind.

At the moment I have -no- idea how to get from where I am to Stormwind. I did once accidentally hop the wrong boat and end up in the East Kingdom.. but I didn’t know how to get from there to Stormwind. I guess I’ll have to figure that out.

I’m a little bummed though. The reason I was speed skilling up was because I wanted to be able to make large bags to sell in AH and so that I could make cloth armor that would be useful to myself at a lower level. It looks like I can now make 10 slot bags. Decent.. but not the uber-bags I was hoping for. The cloth armor thing is looking better. I think I’m skilled to the point of reasonably making my own armor until about level 23. Hopefully by 23 I’ll be able to train tailoring up and skill some more.

It wasn’t all just boring crafting. I also finished a couple of quests. Some gnome guy, north of Blood Watch, had hidden himself in a dead turtle’s shell and was “observing” the swarm of murlocs around him.

I hate murlocs. Something about them just pisses me off. I hate patrolling a murloc village waiting for a specific type of murloc to show up. A relatively easy “collect X from the corpses of Y” was made practically unbearable by a low drop rate. Two hours later I finally had the stuff for the turn in. So much for a “quick” quest before bed.

Rarh!

Posted in Monneh at 3:18 am by Nibuca

I acquired Burning Crusade from Costco. I guess it is true that you can find anything there if you look hard enough. I’m glad that it’s been a while since BC’s initial release. The newbie areas are fairly uncongested and I’m not having any huge problems fulfilling the quest requirements.

Over the last two days I played my new Dreanei Priest, Monneh, up to level 13. I’m enjoying the class. I’m also enjoying the quests. I’ve found that the Dreanei quests are a lot more entertaining than the Human or Night Elf quests. I loved fishing with a net.. and The Totem questline was tons of fun. I especially liked the buff that turned you into an invisible speed running panther. Rarrh! (I wonder if that’s available anywhere outside the questline.)

Way better than “Kill Princess” or madly running notes back and forth between farms.

I even got jumped by a stealthed Blood Elf NPC. It was very unexpected. I think Blizzard has gotten more sophisticated about its starting quests since the original game came out.

** as an aside: While killing Blood Elves I noticed that they all seem to be death drama queens.. or at least the males are. I wonder if that’s true when it’s a PC rather than an NPC.
