Work is crazy. The bad things are eating my face.
Last night I got home late.. and had to log onto IM so I could be accessible for work if needed. This meant that although I didn’t have anything I actually needed to do.. I needed to be free at any moment in case I was asked to do something. This means I couldn’t just log into the game and go run H-MgT. Instead, I needed something low impact.
At first I fiddled with my bank toon.. but that got boring very quickly. Then I fiddled with my lowbie mage… but really I just want lifetap.. and she needed to go sit in an Inn and acquire rested XP. I’m not feeling the vibe to play my lowbie priest or druid. So instead I messed with my lowbie (38/39) hunter.

WRT “Filling a niche, Nocc took up Mining and Jewelcrafting. So far I’m finding the multiple tracking thing not too difficult to manage.

Holidays.. I got in a lot of family time.. and very little WoW time. I’m ok with that. It is as it should be.
I did learn that I’m almost completely dependant on my Nostromo N52 and Bartender3. I’m gimped playing without them.

Knowing that we were planning a long day in Kara on Sunday.. and knowing that I was already prepped and ready to go on Tatia.. I opt to play Lilac, my warlock, on Saturday instead.

It is absolutely ludicrously unfair that you have to be a Troll level 70 with a specific head-gear in order to tame this wolf. No fair. Nocc -needs- a light blue semi-transparent wolf! It’s just evil!

I’ve decided I officially hate Stockades. It’s not terribly hard.. but the ceilings are very low.. and there are line of sight issues.. and well frankly I kinda suck as a hunter.
*sigh*
I want to not suck. I conceive of how to not suck.. but I suck at the execution of not sucking.

Had one of those yesterday. Fiancee (on his druid tank) was AFK following Nocc.. and we were just killing things. The others in our group were occupied and I saw a mob pop. I sent Bug in with growl on. Ploinked it with a Sting, then Arcane Shot.. then a couple of auto-shots…
In order my thought were:
- Oh crap, I pulled aggro off of Bug.
- Hey, the mob’s shooting me with his bow. Bet I have better DPS than him.
- Look at that.. Bug’s moved to be behind the mob.
- Hrm. Guess the mob can’t block him now.
So I guess the “move behind the mob” is working.
Hrm.. now that I read over the above.. it doesn’t seem very entertaining. Oh well.. welcome to “Random views into my head” featuring .. randomness.. and fluff. Please expect more posts of this type.. including “what kind of cheese goes best with Kara” and hard-hitting features like “I think Murlock soup is immoral”. Hopefully I’ll be able to figure out my current project “Tanking as Holy: Who cares about uncrushable?” and post something -actually- interesting.

After Kara I played Nocc for a while. Earlier yesterday I’d looked on Petopia and decided I’d rather have the green Ravager than the red/orange one. It has Gore 3… but mostly because it matches my hair. 
These Ravagers are level 16-17 and have a nasty swipe that knocks you off your feet and makes it very hard to tame them.
In order to tame this one I dropped an ice trap, backed up from it, waited for the 30 second cooldown to go away… shot the Ravager once to pull it into the ice trap (See hunter macros). Dropped another ice trap and then started taming. The first trap broke.. and the Ravager ran towards me and hit the second ice trap. By the time the second ice trap broke I had him tamed.
I will call him Bug. Because it’s so appropriate.

New Draenei hunter is now named “Nocc”. I wanted “Nock” (the split on the back of an arrow that keeps it on the bowstring) but that wasn’t available. Friday I was sick. Hacky cough, sore throat, no going to work. I spent the day drinking tea with a blanket across my knees.. gnoshing on pot pie while playing with my new addon (Tourguide) and leveling Nocc. My NE hunter was level 21. I didn’t feel comfortable deleting the Night Elf until I had an equivalently leveled hunter. I figured this would take a few weeks. HAH!
Fiancee has fridays off.. so he decided to start a new alt with me. He started a druid and we began leveling up together. We made 10 on Friday, 19 on Saturday and 22 on Sunday. We also did Deadmines twice on Sunday. Yes, we did nothing but play all weekend. Well, honestly I also did two loads of laundry. Oh.. and drove across town on Sunday to break into a friend’s van.
