Wednesday night I shuffled her gear around and made sure I had as many of the BOE/Badge purchasable gear upgrades (gemmed and enchanted) as I could. Mostly Tatia’s in Naxx-10 gear with a smattering of other gear. This post was published long before the Mists of Pandara Expansion.
Following is a thought exercise for me based on my glyphs/spec. Feel free to follow along… or not… This post was published long before the Mists of Pandara Expansion. Last night after we finished off OS-25 (which I did on my warlock)(no loot. Boo) we ran a quick OS-10 and the Construct wing of Naxx-10. These last two I did on my Pally as a healer. I found OS-10 as a healer to be much easier than OS-10 as a DPSer. Not sure if I just had a bunch of other stellar healers propping me up.. but it -seemed- very easy. Really? Me? My pally -just- hit 80. She’s squeeky in her new-ness .. and well I really expected to tank at least one regular or heroic dungeon before diving into Naxx… but fiancee had confidence and I agreed to go. I have buttons.. and I know that I’m supposed to push them (96969 etc). But I don’t yet totally -get- which I’m supposed to hit when. I’m working it out. I found that tanking was more stressful (particularlly because I wasn’t doing well at it) so I switched her to healing. At the time Retribution was still a joke. Tatia was my sole 70 for a very long time.. until West Kingdom had a glut of healers. That was when I decided I wanted a DPS toon. I started playing Lilac and found Warlocking very fun. Lilac is now my main. This post was published long before the Mists of Pandara Expansion. Ran ZA last night. Not enough healers signed up/logged on so I ended up going on Tatia my Holy Pally. We made one timed chest and missed the second by only a few seconds. I’m confident we’ll start getting those soon. On Sunday I was futzing around on my baby druid and as I left Stormwind I saw a comment in /trade that someone was putting together a Kara pug. West Kingdom did Kara this week.. and it was totally cleared.. and there wasn’t any stirrings of setting up another Kara run.. so Tatia, my holy Pally, had no RaidId. Badges sounded like a good idea. Now normally I’m totally against pugs. They’re painful and usually full of more fail than I can handle.. but as part of our guild recruitment effort I’ve been doing more pugs. So I whispered the leader and got an invite. Our group was: Blackdwarf (Pally MT), Spriteguy (Druid OT), Autum (Holy Priest), Dister (Holy Priest), Tatia (ME) (Holy Pally), Gunne (Hunter), Bornan (DPS Warrior), Demonhawk (DPS warrior), Cosmicpower (Mage), and Underrated (Dest Warlock). We were: Gongniu (Protection Warrior), Heimdal (Protection Paladin), Tatia (ME)(Holy Paladin), Ireena (Holy Priest), Khoss (Resto Shaman), Spiralla (Caster Shaman), Odisia (Mage), Wawepop (Mage), Bowsong (MM Hunter), and Sibiy (BM Hunter). On Tuesday Joe, of Shadow Warlords, logged into our vent to ask if anyone was interested in an SSC run. Of course I said I was. He asked if Tatia my holy Pally could come. Sure! I think this may have been my first time in SSC as a healer. |

I’ve decided to play and gear up my Paladin a bit. Don’t be alarmed.. my first love is all things Warlockery.. but sometimes the group just needs a healer.. and I feel bad having one.. but not having her properly geared.
Long busy weekend. Saturday morning I logged in and was thinking maybe I should try tanking something easy (a regular dungeon or one of the easy heroics) but there just never seemed to be a group interested in the easy stuff. So instead I started running through the Hodir stuff so Tatia can get access to the good shoulder enchants. About half way through the day the guild kicked off a Naxx-10. I got tagged to go as the off-tank.
