Ran ZA last night. Not enough healers signed up/logged on so I ended up going on Tatia my Holy Pally. We made one timed chest and missed the second by only a few seconds. I’m confident we’ll start getting those soon. We downed the Lynx boss but had alot of problems with Dragonhawk (No pally for the adds). We called it with only 3 bosses down.
I picked up the [Chestguard of Hidden Purpose]. I even had banked a bunch of heroic gems so I was able to gem it out and immediately wear it.
After the run Tatia went and did dailies on the Isle of QQ and dinged exalted on the very last turn in (don’t laugh.. I’ve been distracted). So she was -FINALLY- able to make the Redeemer’s Alchemist Stone.
The combination of the two of those put her unbuffed +healing at 1919. RAWR!

On Sunday I was futzing around on my baby druid and as I left Stormwind I saw a comment in /trade that someone was putting together a Kara pug.
West Kingdom did Kara this week.. and it was totally cleared.. and there wasn’t any stirrings of setting up another Kara run.. so Tatia, my holy Pally, had no RaidId. Badges sounded like a good idea. Now normally I’m totally against pugs. They’re painful and usually full of more fail than I can handle.. but as part of our guild recruitment effort I’ve been doing more pugs. So I whispered the leader and got an invite.
Our group was: Blackdwarf (Pally MT), Spriteguy (Druid OT), Autum (Holy Priest), Dister (Holy Priest), Tatia (ME) (Holy Pally), Gunne (Hunter), Bornan (DPS Warrior), Demonhawk (DPS warrior), Cosmicpower (Mage), and Underrated (Dest Warlock).

West Kingdom went into Zul’Aman and took down a new boss.
We were: Gongniu (Protection Warrior), Heimdal (Protection Paladin), Tatia (ME)(Holy Paladin), Ireena (Holy Priest), Khoss (Resto Shaman), Spiralla (Caster Shaman), Odisia (Mage), Wawepop (Mage), Bowsong (MM Hunter), and Sibiy (BM Hunter).
On Tuesday we went in an clear out the Bear and Eagle boss. Last night we cleared to the DragonHawk Boss and gave him a couple good attempts.
After many different tries we came out with a winning method.
- Kill one of the hatchers. Allow the other hatcher to open up all of the eggs on one side (then kill him off so he doesn’t hatch the other side). DPS will single target the hatched dragon hawks until the Pally tank declares that he has “enough” aggro. Then AOE the rest of the dragon hawks down.
- On the second set of hatchers, do the same thing with the other side of dragon hawks.
- Then kill the boss.
I think in all the fight took us ~6 mins once we engaged the boss.

On Tuesday Joe, of Shadow Warlords, logged into our vent to ask if anyone was interested in an SSC run. Of course I said I was. He asked if Tatia my holy Pally could come. Sure! I think this may have been my first time in SSC as a healer.

And like that *snap* Tatia’s an alchemist. I found Alchemy easier to level than Herbalism. Then again.. when Tatia leveled herbalism ( in October: Herbalism 375) I socked most of those flowers away in my guild-of-one bank tab. So I had most of the mats already on hand. In all I think I spent 200g between paying for training.. and buying the flowers where I was short (Why is briarthorn always so hard to get?**)

Tatia’s currently at 342/375 Alchemy. From start to finish.. I think it took ~3-4 hours. She would be further but I ran out of Netherbloom.
**I was talking with a guildie about a completely separate topic.. and she mentioned she was making a killing selling Briarthorn on the AH. Which is nice considering her highest toon is 42. I’m pretty sure I padded her bank account.

This morning, while doing dailies with fiancee’s hunter we squabbled over who would get to pick the flowers. There’s only about 4 mana thistle on the whole Isle..and having two herbalists grouped together means that we’re snarky back and forth about whose turn it is this time. I was on my Holy Paladin, Tatia, who’s a 375 herbalist/enchanter.
This reminded me that I’ve been thinking about Alchemy. Now having worked enchanting up to 375 there’s -no way- I’ll drop it.. but I am tempted to drop herbalism and take up alchemy.

As I walked in the door yesterday fiancee demanded that I should log on… and asked if I’d be there for the 8:00 Kara group.
“Um.. Sorry honey, I didn’t know about the 8:00 kara group I wasn’t signed up for it.”
“Of course not, ” says he, “I just added it to the calendar. So log on and sign up.”
Um.. ok. So I signed up for the Kara group. Khoss, our resto shaman wanted to bring his dead-to-us Mage instead of his healer since his dead-to-us Mage needed 5 more badges. Since his mage is dead-to-us it was a hard sell (dead-to-us Mage used to be Khoss’ main until Khoss hit 70. Then dead-to-us Mage was .. um declared dead so we’d stop insisting he come with us to XXX high level raid). After a while I offered (in whispers) that I’d bring Tatia to heal for the first couple bosses so dead-to-us Mage could get his 5 badges.
Initially we were:
Baldwyn (Protection Paladin), Booie (Protection Warrior), Tatia (ME)(Holy Paladin), Ginomi (Resto Druid), Daegothh (Mage), Sae (BM Hunter), Fynriss (BM Hunter), Raouen (MM Hunter), Spiralla (Shaman), Drakus (Rogue).

Yesterday one of my guildie’s got hacked. I’m unclear on the exact details.. but the bad guys got into three of his accounts and cleared them out. As expected Blizzard’s response is slow/non-existant. The guildie had little access to the guild bank so they didn’t get much from there.. but still.
Secure your information. I know you’re reading this thinking “Yeah, I should install some kind of virus/keylogger protection. I’ll have to look into that” and then you’re going to skim down to the next article in the feedreader and completely forget about it. Just stop for a moment and actually do it.

Monday is normally Kara zerg night. We’re supposed to start at 7:30 PST. Because of the security scare we instead encouraged people to download/install security software and to update their passwords. So the run didn’t actually start until ~8:30. Even then we had to stop shortly into the run and have everyone go and download the same archived version of Omen so we could all see threat.
